Glad to see the team out of nowhere pull it out. The announcers got so gaga over the KState guy I
was ok to see him go down. He’s good alright but his game got to be a bit much.

I agree. The announcers also showed their ignorance by referring to Florida Atlantic as the little school beating the bigger school. Florida Atlantic is actually larger than K State. It's actually larger than Clemson. FAU has 30K students and K State has 19K. They have a medical school as well as other programs that make it a comprehensive University. It's a gorgeous campus on 2 miles from the ocean. They are growing like many Universities in Florida. It's just not the traditional power. Let's go Owls....

I mean…usually when they talk about bigger schools they aren’t talking about enrollment. Usually has to do with what level of athletics they compete at. I don’t think they showed their ignorance here.

This is true.
Miami is considered a "big school" but in actuality it is a small private university, their actual enrollment is barely over 19K, which would make them smaller than FAU if just going by enrollment numbers.

When they say little, I am pretty sure they are not referring to enrollment or the size of the campus

You are correct. But I think a lot of people aren't aware of the sizes of the schools. They only think in terms of sports relevance. Anyway go Cocks and Go FAU...

It is reasonable for sports relevance to be the only thing anyone is talking or cares about when discussing a sports team...

UCF's total enrollment (including graduate students) is around 70k.

I think that's generally true, but if Ohio State were to upset Miami in the college baseball tournament, I don't think the narrative would be about a "little school" upsetting the "big one." I'm sure they would have used different terminology, as they should have done here.
