This list reminds me that we have been lucky to have an all-star history of RBs at MSU. Seriously good backs (often with a questionable OL.) That being said, Boobie was always my favorite of the bunch. He seemed to know that it was a game and could add some seriousness to it, but he loved the fun of the game. I loved the Boobie persona and his takes on the what we all saw on the field. "Fun, Fun, Fun!"

Who was that kid that transferred from Tulane and played for Croom? Terrible offense, but he gave it his best shot, always liked him.

1a) Norwood
1b) Boobie
1c) Dicenzo
2) Justin Griffith (grossly underrated)
3) Vick Ballard
4) Ares (not sure there was ever a back that got screwed at MSU worse than him; had to sit the bench well after he became the best RB b/c of supposedly not doing the little things, and then the standard got changed with slopehead and he got benched for somebody a little more talented that wasn't nearly as good of a teammate and didn't do the little things as well he did). He probably should have been further up there
4) the Josh Robinson that existed from the start of the 2014 season through the UK game that year (would probably be #1 )
5) Fitz. He was basically another RB, even more so than Dak was another RB (and TE obviously).

I remember Michael Davis running another 10 yards or so after an Auburn DB jumped on him to ride piggy back. He had busted through and was at mid field. May have scored like that if another guy didn't cut his legs out from under him.

Dicenzo was always a favorite. Maybe some nostalgia there because I was in school at the time.

His catch and run for a TD at BYU is an all-time favorite.

I'd have to put Boobie at #1. At the time, he was our offense. Everyone knew it and they still couldn't stop him.

Robert Isaac’s mom was my homeroom English teacher the year he took over for Kefer. Whenever we did any sort of free writing, I would pepper in his name or MSU in general. Got some pretty grades in that one.
He ran all over Bama in ‘96
Have his game worn, grass stained, crimson paint sticking to white numerals in my man cave still today.

Tony Buckhalter !
I can hear Hank Flick plain as day in my mind saying his name at Scott Field in the mid-90’s
He wasn’t an exceptional RB though but did have one 100 Yd rushing game.

MIchael Davis and Kevin Bouie
My future father in law was was an Oxford native, invited us up to watch the egg bowl in '94 from his primo seats (don't worry, she left Oxford for State) got to watch Bouie and Davis run all over them. Fun times. I think they both were within a 100 yards of thousand yard seasons that year - an insane tandem.

The Flying M ™️ on X: On this day in the year 2000- MSU blew out #3 Florida 47-35 at Davis Wade Stadium. Dicenzo Miller (shown): 172yds, TD Dontae Walker: 156yds, TD

Everytime he caught a pass out of the backfield, I felt like he could score.

Davis and Bouie were ripping yards off in chunks in maybe the most heartbreaking loss of my Bulldog life, the 94 Bama game. Back in the days when I held out hope...Ah, memories.
