A little to early for this sort of thing, but I guess these clowns have nothing better to do.
I hate PreSeason Polls. I hate Week 3 Bowl Projections. I hate Media hype. 1-0 needs to be the mentality. The rest will take care of itself.
PS I know, I know we're just the fans. We're not on the team, blah blah blah. The truth of the matter is the players are still impressionable young men. They are susceptible to falling flat after listening to the hype from the media and the fans. The truth is, it does filter down, so I'd rather do my best to ignore the polls and projections and just enjoy the ride. If we keep winning, the rest will take care of itself.

YOU can ignore the polls all you want. That's great! The folks voting to get teams in the final 4 for the CFP are not. Herbie and his eye test and coaches are NOT watching PSU every Saturday. It's a lot easier to move into the top 4 for the CFP from #5 than number #24 in November
Not sure of your post....So let me get this straight. Dude has 2 B1G teams and 2 $EC teams in the playoffs, and magically they play the opposite conference???

Super. And if we lose this week, we'll be projected to be in the Toilet Bowl. And if we rip off some great wins after that, we'll be projected to be in a Super Awesome Bowl. And if we win every game, it won't matter what bowl we're projected to b in, in any given week. I can't think of a less meaningful assessment than early season bowl projections. We were a replay call away from losing to Purdue in the opening weekend. Now we just curb-stomped an SEC team. Let's just keep watching each game and let the chips fall where they may.
I like it better when we are projected for good things than bad.

CBS Sports bowl projections have us in the Orange against Clemson. Of course the playoff is the goal but short of that, the Orange Bowl would be fantastic. Not that it means much but PSU is 4-1 there.
No idea, being somewhat factious. Perhaps they don't go for a home run hire.....
I have heard ASU - which is a bit of a surprise. But, access to recruits in SoCal, plus Phoenix area talent has improved in the last 20 years. I also understand they are more advanced with NIL than Nebby.
Nebby has the past, but ASU may have the future.
Buyouts are usually financed by wealthy boosters. I suspect that NU mega booster and NU Regent Howard Hawks has already stepped forward in this regard. Hawks is the founder and chairman of Tenaska, one of the largest private energy companies in the country. Nebraska’s new football training facility is named after him, and he and his son donated generously to the Huskers’ new basketball facility. He also spent $200K of his own money to get on NU's Board of Regents and it would surprise me if he was wasn't involved in the Frost firing decision.
Unless PSU & USC have abandoned their respective drives for a conference championship, this seems a bit premature.
I definitely like what I see in PSU, and I can assure you USC thinks they have a legitimate shot at winning the P12 this year.
That being said, a Nittany Lion vs. Trojan matchup in the Rose Bowl would be awesome.

The money was accounted for before Frost was shown the door. Otherwise they'd have waited till 10/1.
Why would you hope for that? Is the Rose Bowl hosting any of the playoff games this year? Dream big.
I was gonna say, very talented campus there in Tempe.
My buddy's dad played center for ASU in the 70s and whew boy the stories he has told... Just yesterday we were regaled with the story of when the o-line provided security for the Pink Floyd concert 4/20/75. Now that's some good times right there.
