Franklin should contact him. He is from mid Atlantic region. Offer him an NIL bag and see what happens. Season is sunk with Clifford as qb.

I think Clemson was one of his other top choices; he could end up there. Maybe follow Riley to USC?

Reading OU forum "dirt burglars" someone there mentioned UGA is offering him $5M. Don't know if that is believable, but if that is the future of cfb I don't see the B1G schools playing that game.

Going to be a lot of QB shuffling the next month if he transfers. Whatever school he goes to will have their qb portal and then so on.

If he leverages it to a big payday from OU you might see every high end D1 QB hit the portal to gauge offers. 🤦‍♂️

NIL is just exposing the ugly underbelly of college football that was there all along. Now that paying players is "legal" with the NCAA does PSU play or sit on the sidelines? Reading rumors that Michigan and Ohio State have strong NIL pitches to recruits.
Not so sure about Michigan and OSU - probably not much more than PSU. But the two schools that are standing out with the NIL are Texas A&M and Texas. I believe Texas A&M went 8-4 last year and just read that they grabbed another 5-star kid - their 6th in 2022, and they just claimed the highest rated recruiting class EVER on the 247 Composite. And Texas was HORRIBLE in 2021 and they seem to be getting most of the top notch players they're after. Not sure about Riley and USC as the kids that they've drawn interest from - especially in 2023 and 2024 - is mind boggling. And USC also had a sub-standard year in 2021.

Teams like Alabama. OSU, Georgia and Clemson have been winning for quite a few years now so they big surprise they still recruit well as they can point to their records and success. But programs that have sucked and then make a major splash recruiting? Hmmmmm

Could be wrong but isn't that the reason that Mullet kid left his Texas HS early and enrolled at OSU ?

Yes. That's what I was wondering about. All this Texas NIL money and they can't lobby the right politician to fix that law?

This is just getting ridiculous

You think so, wait till the in-season transfers begin. Think I’m off base? 5 or 6 years ago who thought that the fifth year transfer portal was going to become a Wild West free for all? We knew that the NIL was going to effect the game, but to this extent so quickly? Don’t be surprised if you see sponsors logos on uniforms soon. Whose going to stop it, the empty suits at the NCAA?
