Recent reports indicate the Giants aren’t expected to trade Saquon Barkley, which likely is because it would come as a surprise if any team was interested in a trade for the running back. Barkley is scheduled to make $7.217 million under his fifth-year option and has missed more games than he has played the past two seasons.

Giants co-owner John Mara acknowledged Sunday the team is “not shopping Saquon,” via Dan Duggan of TheAthletic.com.

Has Saquon ever played behind an OL that was even average? I mean, at college or pro level. IDK, maybe in high school. Even his best years at PSU, he made a whole lot happen through incredible individual effort. He's succeeded in spite of poor OL play. How many times have we seen a tackler or two on him as he's getting the ball? Damn shame. He's got to be perpetually frustrated - but too classy to show it.

I do love SB and want him to have as long of a career as he desires with many all pro selections and ultimately end in the NFL HOF.

That said, this is why the giants were stupid for drafting SB so early in the first round. Of course, SB also brings lots of intangiable value with his good looks and great personality. It's hard to argue picking barkly that early because of jersey sales though. Maybe the object isn't to win?
