What a joke! I'm so tired of Fox and this crap!
It really cheapens the match-up to have it at noon.
Then again we cheapen it by losing every god damned time.

It'll be a really good case study for how ESPN is approaching Gameday on weekends where they don't have what is far and away the biggest game...especially when that game is at noon, and FOX will already be there. Something on Old Main lawn doesn't work as well with a noon start either. I'm guessing that they head somewhere off the beaten path (maybe to West Point).

I’ll guess it was the Penn St Michigan smoke show when Woodson was at Michigan and Enis at Penn st.

Penn St was dominated by Michigan that day and I’ll never forget the hit along the sideline on TE Bob Stephenson. Many will remember M Robb lowering the boom on the Minny player. If you saw both inside the stadium like many on here I’m sure did, neither of them will be forgotten. For my money, the Stephenson hit was brutal.

I remember walking down near the field in the North End Zone when the teams came out for warmups. I looked at the AZ players and then looked at my friend and said “these guys are in for a beating.” The Wildcats looked like kids, Penn St looked like men. I’m not a betting man, but I would have bet the house and dog. I was never so sure of a games result.
It was toasty that day, I remember that as well.

Yea, that Stephenson hit was brutal...remember it well. The one other thing I remember from that day was watching the Nebraska/Missouri game at the Gameday set outside Gate B of the BJC where they were set up while wallowing in our loss, hoping that at least Nebraska could go down too (and they won it on that crazy catch).
Yea, I remember that being one of the best weather days ever. We skipped the bars and just tailgated all night...again, Gameday was at Gate B, and we were up there with beers after the game watching them film (wasn't nearly the circus that it is today, and they also did a lot of postgame stuff too back then wrapping the day up from the set).
That was an awesome weekend...Cunningham at the Cafe and then Giants of Science at Crowbar on Friday night. Downtown was alive, and everyone was so excited for that season.
I know most don't like the 12 noon game, but for big games like this, I would just as soon not wait around all day to watch. I would rather it just be played so I can get on with the celebration or misery associated with the result.
Hopefully this sets up for us like the day of the Ohio State game in 1997. We knocked off OSU, and then LSU knocked off Florida after it to move us to #1. If we pick up the big win over Ohio St (after taking care of business against Wisconsin), we can root for Michigan to knock off Oregon after our game to move us up to #1.

1 is coming into Philly for a Friday evening wedding. If this game was 7pm he’d drag my old asss up there. As it’s noon, I’ll be dragging him to the bar (black taxi I hope)
Anytime you saw Giants of Science at Crowbar you were in for a fun night!
B1G Noon kicks suck for various reasons but the alternative could be PSU being 3-3 vs. tOSU at 7:30 on FS1. If we keep winning we're going to be in the prime slots for Fox until the contract ends or there's a league formed with the B1G and SEC with a new TV contract.
Root for Oregon to lose. Don't worry about who they are playing.
At least Maserati Marv is gone. Don’t have to hear that non stop.
Whiteout is fun, but not a huge advantage. Night games make for a long day and expensive weekend.
