Sunshine laws are Sunshine laws. Laws. It’s not a choice.
Except when PSU believes those laws don't apply to it. And the same people who ignore that somehow can't comprehend why the legislature isn't more forthcoming at appropriation time.

No, applauding the judge that told them to get their sh|t together and stop having private conversations about public funds.
The other day, a couple members of their Board were noticed with their fly open (ie: talking about what they were going to be discussing - illegally - in an upcoming meeting). They got called on it, someone filed a legal complaint - and the Judge issued an injunction (injunction might not be the precise legal term in this case, but you get the picture)..... so they had to kibosh their plan to hold the private meeting to discuss their athletics department finances.
Moving forward with these types of legal actions, as one might imagine, is difficult unless the members of the Board do indeed walk around with their fly open. And it does happen from time to time.

I’m cautiously applauding the judge at this point. He made the correct decision but if it’s only temporary until they hold a hearing on it, I’ll wait until the judge gives a final decision.
I’m hoping there’s no Texas 2 step where the judge acts tough for the PR and then folds at the hearing giving in to the UNC BOT.
Time will tell.
I hope Neeli really does make some much needed changes, but I’m not holding my breath. If she does, latte and scones are on me!
