The Colts announced on Tuesday that Wentz, who is unvaccinated, has been placed on the COVID-19 list. If Wentz tested positive, under the league’s current protocols, he is out for 10 days. That means he’ll miss the Week 17 contest against the Raiders but has a chance to play in the season finale against the Jaguars — though he would have little practice time for that contest.

But if Wentz is a close contact, he is out for only five days if he continues to produce negative tests.

Wentz has completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions this season.

The dreams of high first round picks have evaporated. Indy and Miami are conspiring to drive Eagles fans bonkers. If both make the playoffs and the Eagles do as well, none of the first rounders can be any higher than 19th overall. Potential playoff victories would push the picks even lower. If that turns out to be the case, I wouldn't be shocked if a couple of the picks were traded in an attempt to land a high pick in 2023.

As I mentioned in previous posts, Howie has done pretty well in the top 15 (even he can't mess those up). However, picks in the 20s have been very bad. Scary.

PS. If Howie took Justin Jefferson in 2020, the Eagles could have picked Micah this year (although Howie probably would have passed him up).

Howie will wheel and deal a couple first round picks to move up 5 spots to pick someone nobody had going in the first round. Wait and see.
