FC/OT: How much time left does Herm Edwards have at ASU?

Ridiculous if he isn’t fired when 50% of his staff, so far, has been fired for cause. He knew.
I can't believe he has lasted this long. Blowing off COVID restrictions to host recruits seems to be about the worst thing a coach could do in the eyes of the NCAA. I'm amazed he was allowed to coach last season.
He should have been let go last year. IIRC they have him on video with some of the recruiting visit violations. At this point I assume ASU will not fire him until their hand is forced by the ncaa.
Probably waiting for just cause so don't have to pay him. NCAA report may just do that.

Multiple sources indicated that at least 30 players visited campus over a span of months, a practice so common coaches referenced “official visit weekends” in staff meetings, coaches bumped into recruits and families in a back stairwell and a routine developed of facility tours being given around 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. at night.
On one weekend in October, there were so many high school kids visiting that a staff member parked a 12-person van in the staff parking lot to tour around recruits. The visits spanned months, sources said, including some in October, the weekend of the UCLA game in December and through the spring game, which one source said “was like an official visit weekend.”
“It wasn’t a secret,” said a staff member with direct knowledge of the visits. “As far as knowing everyone who came into that [football] office, the number is too big and the names are too many. They would bring in parents, their moms and dads and friends. They’d get a facility tour like they were on an official visit. They’d show you the weight room and training room. They’d show you everything.”

At a time when NCAA enforcement staff has been fickle, the prospect of ASU committing recruiting violations is trumped by the brazen nature of hosting dozens of kids on campus during the pandemic.

I like Herm but had a lot more respect for him before all this. He should have been gone with Brenneman and the others at the start. He knew.
IIRC the ASU AD was Herm's agent. That might explain why he is still there.

Yes, just googled it quickly. ASU AD is Ray Anderson. He is a former NFL agent and one of his clients was Herm. You can't make this stuff up!
It’s getting to that point. He’s deflected and delayed so long as assistant after assistant fell that he’s now put his job on the line IMO.
I don’t know much about the ASU prez but the pressure will build on them to act and show there’s institutional control.
