This is a home run IMO….word is she’ll play Harley Quinn.

An interesting collection of talent, for sure. But a musical as a home run? I have my doubts. FWIW, while I was a huge Batman fan as a kid (watched the TV show, and read virtually all of the comic books), I'm kind of worn out from Batman films. I'm not sure what more they can do with the story. Plus, Christian Bale set a bar for portraying Batman that makes it tough for any other actors.

Well, I meant Gaga as HQ is a home run (noting Margot Robbie is the gold standard) and a good fit for 'this' particular version of Joker (which I don't really like much as a character to be honest). Musical? We'll see. Maybe if they can get Lin-Manuel Miranda to write it... :).

Also, I really liked The Batman - it's as good a version as Nolan's IMO with the potential to be better. The Dark Knight is so good it makes people forget how 'meh' the other two in the trilogy are IMO. Definitely want to see more from Matt Reeves, but I get there is some Batman fatigue.

I was a Marvel comic book fan as a kid. I liked the off the wall characters...The Silver Surfer....Flash. Even Ironman. I had a **** load of 12 cent Marvel Comics. When we rotated back to the states from Germany, my Dad was Army, I asked my mom..what happened to my comics? She threw them away. Me shaking my head. Now I am getting burnt out on Marvel movies.

ugh, that sucks.

It's interesting how many people I know that have a similar (or worse) story about how possessions of theirs were lost, given away, thrown away, etc. by parents or others.

Now I am getting burnt out on Marvel movies.

Yeah, too many minor characters seem to be getting films. Films about Nova and Sentry might intrigue me, but I can't think of too many Marvel characters about whom I'd care to see of film.

+1. Hard pass for me. Wasn't a fan of The Joker.

Same here. Found it dull and tiresome and did not finish it.

It's very much a mix of Scorsese's Taxi Driver and King of Comedy but with the Joker. I really liked the cinematography and especially the score, and while I thought Phoenix was very good/convincing, I too didn't think too highly of the story. Still, I'd watch a sequel, especially with Gaga in it.
