Diggs took the time to do something for 1 little boy that it would have been very easy to not do. His gesture really made an impact on me. I try to do stuff like this for people I work with, but not total strangers. Diggs set a really good example for everyone.

Great to see when pro athletes do things like this and prove they haven't lost sight of their more humble beginnings and that others struggle. It's not often anymore I wish I was more like a pro athlete.

For me, I can put "being a dick on the field" in perspective with gestures like this.

I was never intentionally a dick, but that doesn’t excuse anything. I’m deaf and I was mainstreamed before I ready, and let’s just say that it took me a long time to figure things out and find my happy place. One of the results of being oblivious to the bigger picture is that you don’t realize that you’re oblivious, and you can do damage. I did plenty. But I did figure things out, eventually.

Funny thing, it was a total mistake for me to go to Penn State, but it’s the reason I got into mathematics, which is a daily joy for me. It all worked out for me but I do wish I had been a better friend. I suppose everyone thinks this about themselves.

I love Stefan Diggs tough competitive on field personality. He’s a smaller guy; but plays with a chip on his shoulder, taking no crap from anyone. Off field, he seems genuinely interested giving back to the community. It’s hard to dislike a guy like Diggs, a super talented team player.
