"Playfly will operate in place of Learfield, Penn State’s longtime multimedia rights holder for more than two decades. Penn State and Learfield had recently gone to federal court over the university’s intentions to change rights holders. Learfield claimed Penn State violated its request for proposals process in awarding the bid to Playfly, which the university denied."

I’m sure it’s all just a misunderstanding.

As long as Steve Jones and Jack Ham are still doing the games. That's what matters to me.

So which BOT member is connected to Playfly? Usually when there are shenanigans with RFPs, someone has an inside connection. Asking for a friend....

Who writes this shlt?

“Penn State Athletics is synonymous with excellence and boasts one of the most fervent fan bases in the country,” said Christy Hedgpeth, President of Playfly Sports Properties. “Pat Kraft has an innovative, ambitious vision for the future of Penn State Athletics and its value to the University. We are eager to lock arms with Pat and his team to actualize the concept of a true enterprise strategy. By leveraging our diverse range of services and fan-focused mindset, we will help Penn State deepen fan relationships and cultivate new revenue streams."

These folks must be afflicted with perpetual diarrhea of the mouth. Fast-forward erase to the last phrase and cut it to three words: earn more money.

This, in particular, would clog the flushing of any toilet.

The biggest failure is signing a 15 year deal. Should be no more than 5. The landscape is changing to much and fast for that length. Plus this is a 4 year old company

What a supply chain fail and a fail by Kraft. The only way 15 years makes sense is if it a non-exclusive deal. Unfortunately it is not.
Concur. 15 yr deal makes no FN sense.

tell me it's not true
Could be true. But any long-term incumbent who gets ousted is going to try to find a way to protest/appeal an award decision in an attempt to preserve that revenue stream. Doesn’t necessarily mean there were shenanigans. I’ve been a part of more bid processes than I care to recall and protests are commonplace.

Kraft is repeating Barbour’s mistakes.
