Meh. This year a lower ranking actually gets PSU a better, more-viewed bowl in a better locale against a better opponent.

Selecting PSU for Cotton against G5 is the ultimate slap.

This is sad. The Daily Collegian must not realize that PSU is not going to get a CFP spot. So, by definition this is not breaking news. All the angst about who gets ranked where is irrelevant unless that team has a possibility to get a CFP spot. PSU has zero posibility to make the CFP.
