Check out the Michigan sister site thread on that. Someone there replied to one of the funnier one-liners I've read on any ON3 site in a year.

"Unlimited packets of that garlic butter for their Papa John’s pizza would be my guess."

LOL. Papa John’s is like the Pringle’s of pizza - less an actual pizza and more a pizza-like food item.

The #12 WR committed to them about a month ago. They have 4 top 215 players currently. Supposedly Adidas is forking over the money for the RB. Rumored $3 mil.

"I have always been a trailblazer, and aimed to create my own legacy on the road less traveled in hopes of inspiring others to believe in themselves," Owens wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. "It was the driving force in me making this life changing decision on where to spend the next 3-4 years of my life."

How would Adidas justify this when there could have been other Adidas schools interested in the RB?
“True” NIL need not have a tie to a school. With that said, most high end athletes have some value differential across schools.

It’s the fanboy $$ that is 100% school specific.

Getting a lot of true NIL removes much of the value differential across schools from the athlete’s perspective, freeing them up to make their choice on other factors.
