Penn State adds another key four-star prospect to Class of 2024
The Nittany Lions have earned commitments from 13 four-star players.
A couple things stick out to me here. 1) His offer list is impressive. Seems like a really talented kid. 2)At 6’3”, 210-215 lbs, he’s going to need to hit the weight room and pack on some lbs to be effective at the next level. I’m sure he’s aware of that and the PSU training staff has a plan for him. 3) Having Barnes and Gabe Infante (former St. Joe’s Prep HC) on staff at PSU helped land him. I said it before, but I really think hiring Infante was a genius move by Franklin. The SJP/Philly connection will be very valuable along with the Barnes/Philly connection. Welcome to PSU, kid! To paraphrase CJF, this young man will need to eat some sandwiches. BUT! Great motor, talented athlete...big get by the staff.
That seems like asking a lot. I read another article that said he could end up at OLB? He seems like a Shaka Toney type player. We will see. Regardless, he seems athletic and talented. If he is that good, he will end up on the field somewhere.
I meant in terms of size and being a tweener at this point between DE and LB.Don't bet on it.
we have had some luck with the some of the DEs who arrived small but got to a workable size by around year 3. for him it looks like around 40# min to pickup without losing athleticism. OLB might be backup but it would seem that is new position for him to learn.
Shaka will have plenty of time to bulk up while watching games from home next season unpaid. You CAN bet on that.
