Look, I hope I'm wrong. But until Penn State proves they can win a big game with something on the line (not a meaningless bowl game) I'll remain somewhat pessimistic.

I say if the offensive line is consistent in opening lanes for our running game (and pass blocks) then we win 24-13. If the offensive line plays like it has most of the season, we lose. And it could get ugly late because the defense will have spent the majority of the game on the field.

21-17 PSU if…
They have some creativity on offense. I still can’t believe how vanilla our playbook was against OSU. You’d have to think Michigan is going to use the same defensive strategy - blitz Allar knowing our WRs won’t get separation in time.

Running game
Need to give Allen the majority of the carries. He’s a workhorse RB who gets stronger as the game goes on. Want to get singleton involved? Great. Give him some sweeps/tosses/screens, anything to let him play to his strengths. At this point in the season, it’s a wasted play/drive if they continue to run him up the middle.

Passing game
Need some quick hitters to get Allar in rhythm. Like I said, I expect them to blitz like crazy. Need to have some TE/RB check downs available for when the pressure gets home. We’ll have some 1v1 opportunities. Lambert and Cephus will have to make a play or two.

I’m thinking the defense will be up for this game after getting diced up in Ann Arbor last year

LFG!

Sad but true. I don't like being pessimistic, but that's where I am also. It would be great for us to be wrong and even better for the players and coaches.

I haven't seen much reason to be optimistic realistically. Allar and the WRs' played a much better game against MD but it was MD, not UM. I feel like UM has a better running game, OL and WRs. Defense is a push.

the only thing I like is that UM hasn't played any team with any talent as PSU has played, probably, three teams better than UM's best opponent (WVu, Iowa and tOSU). Plus, it is at home.

31 - 10 bad guys.

that locker room has to be a psychological mess. I have no idea how you mentally "rally" or "circle the wagons" or play the “us vs them card” around your cheating coach/staff.

I just don't have faith in Franklin with these types of games and unfortunately his record supports it. Without this coaching situation on the opposing sideline, I would have said Michigan 35- 16. With this latest development, I’ll allow myself to dream: PSU 17- Michigan 14.

With all of the crap this week and how Michigan has acted (really gonna leave the Big 10? Sure, GTFO), I want this win more than ever. But Franklin is still our coach and until proven otherwise, I don’t think he’s got what it takes to get us over the hump. I do wanna see what Michigan looks like when faced with a 4th quarter game. That they haven’t been in one yet may give us a slight edge. But I’ve got it as 19-13 Michigan.

(Past predictions/results -- WVU 38-10 (38-15), UD 52-6 (63-7), Ill 38-13 (30-13), Iowa 27-10 (31-0), NW 44-9 (41-13), UMASS 58-13 (63-0) OSU 17-13 (12-20) IU 45-7 (33-24) MD 31-16 (51-15))

Harbaugh’s “suspension” changes nothing. Their game plan is in place and their coordinators make most of their adjustments.

Exact prediction I gave to a Michigan alum/friend earlier this week. I don’t know though - if Harbaugh isn’t there, how much does that impact UM? Hoping their wheels falls off.
