have to feel a bit sorry for them. They don't get seasons like this very often. First they get screwed on what was a cheap play by opposing QB in the ACC championship. Then their opponent drops from the bowl, and they are forced to play Rutgers - who did not earn a bowl game. This is a no win for Wake.. If they win by anything less than a massive blow out, then that is like a loss. If they were to lose by some miracle, it would be total hit on their image and season. Not a lot of great options here for them to still play bowl in the strange world we are living in. I am not a big fan of expanding playoff to 12, but in that case, Wake may have made it in, and would not face this.

Might be an entertaining game, because while Wake has a good offense, they have not yet learned how to play defense. Consider their 70-56 win over Army.

Probably lose 49-31 to A&M or probably beat Rutgers?

They got a gift. Rutgers best offensive weapons are out as well.

I never thought I'd see a slower mesh point than '16/'17 Moorhead but Wake today...

That was quite a face-mask penalty. The entire helmet spun 45° on the QB’s head. The NCAA gets their panties all up in a bunch over helmet to helmet contact but potentially snapping a kids neck only warrants a 15 yard penalty.

Wake 17, rutgres 10, 6:22 to go in the 2nd quarter.

rutgres just punted. The first punt by either team today.

rutgres driving, but Wake with the pick at the goal line. Still 17-10, Wake.

Holy steaming pile of manure. How bad is the ACC? A 10/3 Wake is actually getting pushed by Rutgers. That’s our Buttgers, the USC of the East, scourge of the BIG and deliverer of billions and billions of TV viewers.

This is what we’re up against.

Don’t worry, Schiano being a subpar game day coach will make sure WF covers the 17 point spread.

rutgres opens the second half throwing a pick. From what little I know about football, throwing into double coverage generally isn’t a good idea.

Better than the Chris Ash era but still bad, very very bad. After two years of coaching this was an embarrassing performance for Schiano.

I felt sorry for Wake when Walker transferred to MSU and was having a Heisman year. Wake could have been in the championship if they had Walker.

How can you possibly know that? You’re not a coach! Everyone here thinks they’re an expert.
