We lose next week, get ***-raped by Bama and Arky, and I think we lose at UAB. They return a bunch from last year plus the fact it is on the road in that hell hole in B'ham. Then we still have to go on the road to UK and who knows what can happen against the Bears. Mullen & Co. are well into the process of screwing the pooch on this season, without some drastic change in a lot of areas. He better quickly begin to start backing up his big mouth and hit the recruiting trail with reckless abandon.
UAB got beat 49 - 10 by tulane in Birmingham. Kentucky is awful. We aren't awful right now. We struggled but we won. Tech gave southern all they could handle, we saw what happened with case keenum Houston team last week. Tech is not lsu by any means but they are not bad either.
Auburn must be an extremely ****** team for needing an onside kick to beat Utah State earlier this season. Hell...just last year Virginia Tech lost to George Madison which is worse than Tech barely beating UCA and they still won the ACC. That's just football man... a lot of times, teams win (and lose) games in spite of themselves. Happens practically every season.
Many of you guys think football is a math problem. Emotion plays a huge part.

I can only speak for myself when saying that I'm not defending La Tech, but with that said I wouldn't surprised if they won quite a few games this year with their schedule. I will be rooting for them against the Bears just so I can say the bears are terrified of bulldogs if they lose to us, georgia, fresno and tech. But I digress...<div>

The Bama win from the 80s? It's kind of hard to compare now to 30 years ago. See Mississippi and their 3 mythical National Championships. All I know is we are not very good, and La Tech is ****.

wow. I know MSU was pretty good that year and should have finished better than 8-4 but traditionally those 4 have not been powerhouses.</p>
wtf ever... Just because they're in the ACC do you honestly believe that we would've just dominated them last year? I don't care who you are, but if you're in an AQ conference and go undefeated in league play, you are not a ****** or even mediocre team.
****** D and a make-shift OL make UAB, UK, and UM all dangerous games. It's actually a vote of confidence in Mullen that I think he'll be able to hold the team together for 6-6. I don't think it would take but a couple of more good players at key positions to make us a very good team, but unfortunately, we just don't have those players, and the players we do have to use just aren't SEC quality (or are too young). </p>
in his thread that our offensive line is not very good right now. Don't know if it can get better but it needs to for us to get to 7-5. We are not a great team right now, I thought our offense would carry us and now that just doesn't appear to be realistic. I think we are going to find out what kind of coach and coaches we have the rest of the way.

I think if Va Tech was in our league, they would be a 7-5, 8-4 team. And Florida State? They may have been good 10 years ago, but are they relevant now? No. Seems to me they aren't living up to expectations this year.
I am not saying that we would destroy Va Tech, in fact, I am quite sure we would lose to them because I don't think we are a very good football team. That doesn't mean that I have to take them and their conference seriously, at least not in football. The ACC has been irrelevant for how long? 10-12 years?

But from what I have seen, I think we could possibly go 8-4.
Before the season started I had USC as being our lone upset of the year. After seeing UGA this season, I think they are beatable but obviously it isn't likely. If we go back to running some option plays on offense, and Relf somehow finds some accuracy, we have a shot.
