I try to be fair. I've said many times that Beamer overachieved in his first 2 seasons here. This season.... blah. I had us going 7-5, losing to UGA, UT, TAM, UNC and clemson. How in the world we lost to Florida is beyond me. Missouri was better than anyone thought they'd be. I stated when Missouri hired Drinkwitz that they got a good one. In his 4th season there, I am certain that I'm not alone in that thinking. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Beamer has earned to be given at least as much time as Muschamp was (going into a 5th season). His first 2 seasons here says so, imho.
Regarding our basketball coach Lamont Paris: for some reason that I don't get, it seems a few people have wanted him fired even before his first game as our Head Coach. He has exceeded expectations, on the court, since he has been here. And his recruiting has been solid.
Bottom line: we have 2 Head Coaches who have shown in their brief time here, potentially in the next 20 years, the ability to make us nationally relevant in their respective sports. Yes, by all means, criticize them when it's warranted. I've done so. But, pat them on the back when it's merited as well. As the OP says, "find some joy". Stop with the constant misery.
