I was there. At halftime I was out on the concourse smoking next to a bunch of dawg fans. They were in total shock and couldn't believe it was happening. They kept talking to me about their 5 stars and all American players. As I walked away I just pointed at the scoreboard and said that's what matters.
I rode over on a bus from Athens with friends. They were humbled but not jerk offs over their disappointment. It was a lot quieter on the ride back. I was glad my name wasn't Donnan or Carter though. Proud of our Gamecocks.
As I've posted before, I rode over on a UGA bus with lots of friends. On the way back I was glad my name wasn't Jim Donnan or Quincy Carter. My friends were kind to me but they did not talk much football the following week.
