I was happy for him that he manage to suppress the choke.
There was one thing that bothered me and I have a suggestion.
The thing that bothered me was the announcers were trying to support the format change where no one got any strokes at the start of this final tournament. So Tommy is up 3 strokes on the last hole and they are acting as if this was so much better because so many people were involved in a possible victory. They still acted as if after Tommy's second shot on 18 there was still a chance.
My suggestion for the PGA is that they should make the Tour championship a 3 tournament aggregate score. So play Memphis and the BMW as they did with a purse and winner after each tournament. Then at East Lake, with the final 30, start with the score you accrued over those previous 2 tournaments. This way none of the top 70 can skip any of those tournaments and a score over 216 holes on 3 different courses would be a good measure of the best player of the year.
If that was done this year Sheffler would have been 44 under and Fleetwood would have been 43 under.
