the Gators haven't been the same since his week-long stint as coach of the Magic. 17-15 the last 2 years in the SEC.

I'd seen where people give him a lot credit for what happened there.

I think Bama is about to get really good.

it's surprising how they overnight went from back-to-back NC's to just a decent team. I figured after winning those 2 titles, they would be a beast for the forseeable future. I'm sure Grant had something to do with it, but you'd think Donovan could find a top-notch guy to take his place.

4 of the 5 starters and 5 of the top 6 players on the NC team were drafted that year. You cant lose that much talent and be a beast.
Itd be tough for UNC to lose that sort of talent and be a beast the next year. Heck, this year is a perfect example.

They have had uber talent recruits since then too, but for whatever reason they havent meshed and lived up to the hype. I can think of five 5star recruits and half a dozen 4star recruits of theirs since that back to back season, but a few bolted the program, went pro, and havent produced.

Its scary how much elite talent has been thru that program since 2000.
