For PSUers:
125: Lilledahl - 1st
133: Marcus Blaze - 4th
141: Davis - R12
149: SVN - 1st
157: Kasak - 1st
165: Mesenbrink - 1st
174: Haines - 1st
184: Rocco Welsh - 3rd
197: Barr - 1st
285: Cole Mirasola - 8th
Team: PSU - 1st
P4P: Those are there, but I'm not so sure they are predictions for how things will be after NCAAs

If the above happens, it will be quite a celebration for PSU fans at NCAAs.

How many schools can claim a projected national champ is a strong redshirt candidate? We truly have an embarrassment of riches.

Interesting to see Cardenas ranked PFP ahead of defending champ Taylor at 157. Cardenas was 4th in 2024 and shirted this past year. They haven't faced each other in college.

Whenever I see one of our guys predicted to finish 4th, I'm reminded that a PSU wrestler has never lost a contested 3rd place bout at NCAA's under Cael. The record is currently 12 wins and 1 loss, with that lone loss being a medical forfeit (Kerkvliet in 2022).

I think this and Cael's overall 80% winning percentage in placement matches (28-7) might be even more impressive than his semi-finals record of 82% (60-13) because it is often not the generational talents who are wrestling in these placement matches. I think this exemplifies our staff's ability to teach a winning mindset better than the rest.

If Marcus finds himself in the 3rd place match on Saturday morning, I'm betting he wins it.
