Has anyone ever seen you and MSU in the same room?

Edit: @LB99 , Corby is nothing like Mineo.
We definitely are different people. LB obviously doesn't know me at all. I don't mind Pat but we definitely don't operate the same way. Some of these people just jump in so people will think they're one of the cool kids 🤣

Lilledahl (World Team)
Ono (World Champ)
Blaze (WT)
SVN (a finalist)
Duke (WT)
Messenbrink (WT)
Haines (WT)
Welch (WT)
Barr (WT)
Mirasola (WT)

Ono will get at least 2 yr. Krafty won’t disappoint like SB did in the last time Cael went to admissions.

Every single one of these guys can win their weight class! Incredible and only two seniors, I believe.
I think some are way too quick to plug Duke into the lineup over Kasak. Kasak lost once all of last year and is coming off back to back third place finishes as a true freshman and true sophomore. Don’t underestimate him to improve even more over those results.

I'm not here to impress you LB and I don't care if you think I'm full of s**t or not. I don't get to bent out of shape over random posters

Ask around . Ask how PJ did when he was in the room twice over the last month.

I did not know FLO did a July 2 update (seems it may have been missed collectively here) but they now have Blaze at No. 12 at 133 and Davis at No. 8 at 141:

This is a clear change of philosophy at Flo, ranking guys before they take the mat in college. Trying to be more like Willie’s crystal ball. Good luck with that.

They haven't changed philosophies.

It's not that they don't rank true freshman. It's that the rankings are 100% determined based on results. Blaze has results in NCAA folkstyle wrestling against D1 opponents. So he gets a ranking.

Steveson was ranked as a true freshman because he won the Daktronics Invite as a high school senior.

Gable didn’t show up on Flo’s rankings until November 19 of his freshman year and having beaten Derek White.
He was not ranked as late as their November 5 2018 ranking.

I'm good with it if there's no data. but yeah. that was stupid.
Here’s my thing about their rankings.
They can either be data driven (how they’ve always been) or predictive (how they’re apparently moving).
Either way is fine and a million times on FRL the guys have reminded “our rankings reflect results and are not predictive like some”, clearly wanting the listener to infer they’re contrasting from Willie. Gable reflects the old way, Blaze the new.

Ok. All that said, in what world is Blaze 13th?? You’re either data driven and not ranked like Gable until he wins matches in college, or you’re predictive and LOL at predicting him 13 at this juncture. They tried the old hedge for some reason.

His loss to Brayden Palmer is holding him back.

Flo didn't have Theogenes ranked till his 100th victory in the Roman coliseum. He certainly looked rankable way before that to me. Yeah I'm old
You know looking back I thought the same thing... was sure when he got to 75 he would finally be ranked but I was wrong. Folks kept telling me wait until the end of the season to see the real rankings....

i don't think 13th is unreasonable based on college results. they say "notably defeated Matt Ramos but lost to Brayden Palmer". ramos is very high level victory so it seems reasonable to think he has the skills to compete with the top 10, but that victory was in 2023. looking at the names above him, i'd imagine most have at least a handful of wins against ranked opponents more recently than that. yes, obviously blaze has gotten better since then, but he doesn't have the college victories to "prove it" in order to be ranked toward the top.

i also think this set of rankings a little deceiving compared to the prior set. it looks like blaze has "moved up" the rankings since it shows NR for previous ranking, but he's really entering the rankings because they moved davis up to 141.
