Dr. Charles Lee was hired as interim, then became full-time president in 2003 as a compromise when alumni went to war over the selection. That same alumni divisiveness resulted in Foglesong's hiring in 2006."
So we appointed Droopy to make a considerable faction of MSU alumni happy? The article also states that there is faction of the alumni that do not want Mark Keenum so we would appoint another Ag 'Retiree to be' in the interim? Who are these <17> people? Is there some family of Darlins living outside Booneville that are dropping a mil or so in the MSU til each year that we don't know about? I am not saying that these Ag guys are not great, smart dept heads or deans, hell, this guy could be the Dr that surgically placed that plexiglass insert in that cows belly at the vet school. That was <17> impressive! He has been at MSU for 37 years, which is great , give him a watch or something. just don't give him the presidency.
