Been seeing a lot of Dems posting about UGA winning the national championship and saying it was somehow a result of Stacy Abraham and Georgia voting Dem in the last election. While we are in no danger of turning blue, how has our football team done under different political administrations going back to 1976?

Our record under Dem administrations (Carter, Clinton, Obama and one year of Biden):
143 wins – 109 losses 57%

Our record under Rep administrations (Reagan, H.W. Bush, Bush, Trump):
116 wins – 163 losses 42%

Our three best seasons have been under Dem administrations and our five worst have been under Republican administrations.

Back in the old days, records show we were solid under FDR and Truman. We won the SEC right before the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor. Started tanking after Ike took office in ’53. We did get to the Liberty Bowl the year JFK was killed and to the Sun Bowl right after Nixon resigned.
