Kudos to Croom for Sam Watts, Cameron Lawrence, and Tyler Russell. All great pick-ups.

WTF was Croom thinking with Josh Hollingsworth. This guy will be the next Ty Evans. At best he is the next Michael Henig (I can't believe I just typed that). With his offer coming immediately after losing Garrett, maybe Croom was trying to prove a point to Garrett (Dungy to Peyton Manning: "We don't need you Peyton, we have Jim Sorgi.").

Hopefully Russell will help us with Bumphis, Norwood, and Patterson. We have proven inept at signing quality high school wideouts. Jamayel Smith, Brandon McRae, Lance Long, Co-Eric Riley, Tony Burks were all JUCO, walk-ons, or transfers. Amazing.

well, sometimes you sign guys for position depth. A lot of these guys every year may never play or come in for special teams and adding depth to that. Croom was hell bent on signing 2 QBs, so he will. Russell will obviously be the guy though.

is going to be the "running QB" that Croom has said that he wants. His HS runs the spread. Plus, if the rumors are true, and Auburn offers, he could be gone. Personally, after our QB woes, we can't recuit enough QB's.

I still say that Garrett didn't want to have to compete for our QB job. He wanted it to be given to him. That could also be "the direction of the offense" that he liked about LSU. Just my opinion.
