2 part question................What dorm/dorms did you live in & would you recommend that dorm for your child to live in if they choose Carolina?

I'll begin.

Columbia Hall, & yes. I'd be fine with either of my children living there.

How was Bates West? I never set foot in there. The place always seemed way off the beaten path to me.
It was fine at the time. Suite-style and furnished for 4 students. Bates had a cafeteria at the bottom we could walk to if we were lazy. Little bit of a walk to the Russell House but not bad. Close to The Sarge back in the day, which was nice. Nailed a couple of exchange students from France that lived in the same floor as me. That was great.

This is a SPORTS site. Here you are again, eliminating people with the title of the post "FOR CAROLINA GRADUATES"...Please go start a board somewhere else that only lets Graduates in.

I would love to see the mods exit you from the board. You must have low self esteem. Is graduating from USC your biggest accomplishment? If it is, you have not accomplished much in life.

Speaking as someone who did not graduate from USC, I would never dismiss anyone who graduated from a institute from higher learning, no matter if it was from the smallest little known, to the big name schools.
Despite what some may mistakenly believe, it takes hard work, dedication, and personal sacrifice to graduate from most universities/colleges.

I think this is simply a question for folks that went to SC. Not that big of a deal. I’m not speaking to other threads he’s created. But this one is completely fine and makes a lot of sense on this board.

The all you can eat cafeteria in Bates was nice.

Burney (the next year it became a girls dorm), Moore for two years, and Bates West. The four of us who roomed together at Bates West are still close and stay in touch but the camaraderie and fun we had at the towers was a better overall dorm experience.

I lived in Snowden but this is irrelevant to a sports site... we should be talking about things that all Gamecock fans/alumni can contribute to not just a target group of Gamecocks....I don't give a **** where you lived while attending USC.

Ok, let me fix this…

NEW QUESTION: If you didn’t go to USC, where would you have wanted to live on campus (if you did) and which sports would you have attended?

Now everyone can participate. 🤣 In all seriousness, nothing personal but your comments in this thread are a little bit out there. Maybe you just can’t stand Rod? There are ALWAYS threads that are non-sports and nobody cares. This board is so slow, I’m just thankful somebody is on here posting.

Again, you’re a good poster…but this really is no big deal at all.

He pissed Freddie and a few others with that "toast" thread...it was hurtful and shameful. It may not be a big deal to you but I think where he's concerned damage is done. I'm sure some folks would like to see him gone...Namely "ME"

I do pull for the VOLS but as my #2 team...as well as ETSU, Furman, Wofford, Belmont, Carson-Newman, the Citadel, Coastal, Belmont, Vandy, Memphis, Tenn Tech, Charleston, Anderson U, USC Upstate, Newberry, Presbyterian, Charleston Southern....you see I am a huge college sports fan. I pull for all the teams in SC and TN and the local Western NC schools only: WCU and UNC-Asheville.

I scream and holler at ETSU basketball games just the same as I would for the women's NCAA game in Greenville..

Maybe I'll see you there in Greenville or maybe not...It's ok...I plan on having a blast...

I enjoyed eating at the cafeteria over at South Tower (or maybe it was in South Building) back in the day. Red-blooded men will understand.

I lived in Patterson and Sims.
When USC was still on the table, Jones was looking at Patterson as an option. Since it's been remodeled and now co-ed, it's really nice. And the cafeteria in the bottom was always one of the best on campus.

It was South Building back then. Now it's Patterson. When I lived in Patterson, my room key still had "SB" on it, and Daddy just had to mention the girls he dated that lived there. 🤦‍♀️
