it all boils down to expectations. Yes, we should expect to excel, but the truth is we never have excelled in football. Therefore, I/we should never expect for us to do well in football. It's what makes me wanna throw my computer thru my tv. Expectations. When I have expectations that the upcoming season could be magical (the summer of '01 & this summer - with the way our schedule set up), it just makes it so much harder to take. When I expect to win 3 games the next up-coming season, it doesn't really bother me a bit. I mean, it bothers me but I'm over it by the next afternoon at the latest. Today, I am still fukc*ng pissed. I will probably be pissed until the Auburn game, when, at that time, my pissed-offness will probably turn into just not giving a **** anymore. I lay this game at the feet of two people, Larry Templeton & Woody McCorvey. We should NEVER have to play a high school at THEIR stadium, muchless the FIRST game of the season. The game had upset written all over it (glad I bet on La Tech). Thanks also be to Woody McCorvey for trying to pretend like he was Mike Leach. You almost had me fooled, there Wood. AD gets 18 fukcing carries? Really??? WORST GAME PLAN EVER YOU DUMB !%%@#@**%%#+!
Anyways, I'm still on board with Croom. We need him to succeed here. He just needs to get rid of his buddy and find somebody to run the offense. If he'd be willing to do that, I believe we could do great things here at MState (see, there I go with those expectations again). Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he will get rid of ol' Wood. Therefore, from now on, I will go into each and every game, one game at a time, expecting to lose. And personally, my weekends will be a whole lot less depressing.
