Absolutely. Texas just did this and it's awesome. But then everything they do is.
Just renovate the Collesum. It was specifically designed for basketball. The reason the Colonial center was built was to keep getting concerts.
I think we just need to get a good looking, tight fitting tarp with our logo on each side for the upper deck and just use the lower bowl for seating. No need for an 18k seat arena, it kills the environment. Even with 12k fans there, having them spread out so much makes the place look and sound empty.
How about we keep the current coliseum and just build a basketball program that can fill it?
