For our fans who have blamed the refs for every loss in every sport in the entire history of our University

Or maybe Northwestern just fouls a bunch. Free-throw disparity sometimes has to do with playing style. I didn’t watch any videos so I can’t comment on this particular game. But we all know and we have all seen officiating affect many games for mini teams. I remember as a child watching North Carolina and Duke get every single call.

That's a fairly large disparity to explain away, though. I've seen a few clips of fouls called on NW and they were pretty awful calls.

Anyway, just think it's humorous that we have fans blaming the UGA loss on the refs when both teams had exactly the same number of FT attempts. Then you see this.

Looks like the Refs were trying hard to give it to Purdue, but the Boilermakers kept missing free throws. Is Frank Martin coaching Purdue now?

And I agree with you in my lifetime I have seen games where it truly looked like a fix was in.

The only one that, has ever stayed with me was 2000 Clemson football game, go watch the non existent offense pass interference on I think on Jermale Kelly that negated a touchdown later in the game and then later in the game you had the push off which was not called. Even the announcers complained about the push off, given the context of how the game was called, how tick tact stuff was being called all day and then nothing called on that play,

I was there as well, in the second deck, it was a cold day, and later I watched the broadcast, because I was so miffed at some of the calls, and wanted to see them with better angles, but it was good to hear the CBS announcers completely frustrated by the refs performance as well that day, by the end of the game.

which mini teams though? Are you referring to youth sports? How mini? Like 12 year olds or 7 year olds?

Lol….good one. I use talk to text, and apple loves to spellcheck to stuff that sounds similar. For some reason, it does not understand Southern.

But in MINI sports, say 12 year olds, the refs are just usually incompetent
