The Penn State float and Blue Band will be 43rd and 44th (out of 86) so just about halfway through the parade lineup.
For those interested in the Rose Parade

My wife and I went to the Rose Bowl in 2009* on the Alumni Association tour. Included were good seats for parade. We had to leave the hotel very early because they close all roads into Pasadena a few hours ahead of the parade. On the plus side, we got to walk the parade route early and see the floats up close.
We were in from Michigan, so 55 degrees at 6 a.m. in January was balmy for my wife and me. For the locals, on the other hand, it was freezing. There I am looking at the floats in shorts and a T-shirt while the locals are bundled up in heavy coats, scarves, gloves, and pants and shivering while clutching one hot drink or another. Pansies.
