For those of you who hated the championship game being late in January…

At this point, just play it the Saturday of Super Bowl weekend and let’s all take that Monday off.
I’m fine with more football into late January. Moving it to the Saturday between NFL championships and SB would be perfect. Would probably be terrible for the earlier playoff games though to play on same days as nfl playoffs, would have to figure out a way to not have them playing at the same time
Play it the weekend between the NFL CCG’s and the Super Bowl. That’s a dead weekend.
The positive is I will never have to worry about staying up late to cheer on my team.
Remind me why they don’t have it on Saturday? Does Monday get better ratings because there’s nothing going on? Seems like Saturday would draw better from normal college football fans?
Because of the NFL playoffs. The ratings would get obliterated if they went up against a playoff game.
NFL. 1st round college playoff games went against a couple of NFL regular season games. Those games drew about half the viewers the other 2 1st round games drew. If they went against NFL playoff games, it would be even worse.
I’ve always said Friday would be good.
Friday is absolutely the ideal landing spot.
Probably headed that way. I'd move the start date back a week or two, but I know they like those weekends before the NFL starts.
If you had a goal of reducing interest in college football, you couldn’t do a much better job than the NCAA has done lately…I’m sure all of this appeals to someone out there, just not me.
The casinos and bookies are bringing the game to them. Just waiting for CFB to be reclassified to entertainment and the changes will be complete.
