Its actually just a 25% rule, but in 2010, only 27 players can be on the 11.7 so we can theoretically give 27 players at least a 43% scholarship--of course some may get more and some may get less. The challenging part is finding the other 8 players, but you would think we can find 8 really good baseball players that either have grades that can qualify them for an academic scholarship or will pay most of their way.
The 35 roster cap should really help us. The original plan with 33% would have really helped us b/c it would have forced everyone to use 33% of their 11.7 on instate players. The 25% rule can be satisfied from any source. Its funny how little other coaches listen to Polk. They sure as hell weren't going to let that 33% rule pass.
