Attended last night’s concert in Cleveland and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of his voice at 73 years old.
Not very familiar with the new material from I/O, but enjoyed it.
The older stuff was really good.

Good to hear. I'm a big Gabriel fan but have found his new album is kind of hit or miss for me. Road to Joy is one that I think is really good, even though it sounds like it might have been left over from the US sessions.

Saw him in Philly on this tour. Certainly scaled back some of his extreme staging effects from his other tours - BUT this tour's staging still had amazing visuals and the musicianship of his 9 member band - including a cellist, violin, Mantu Katche, David Roades, and Tony Levin was excellent.

tagged along last Friday with my wife and another couple (each rabid Peter Gabriel proggies dating back to his Genesis work) to the Buffalo NY show... i was looking forward to seeing bass legend Tony Levin , as my background with PG in the 80s was somewhat worn by the obligatory heavy-rotation MTV hits ( though i always liked his less-commercial pre-MTV solo work)

the guy is 73yrs old and his voice simply defies his age... i can name only a few that, at advanced age, perform at 90% of their prime (perhaps Rob Halford , Klaus Meine? , topic probably deserves its own thread) his band was obviously hand-selected as it is TOP of the TOP SHELF... the stage show is art in and of itself, telling a story with plenty of the obligatory tortured artist pretension ... he cites all of the artists who he solicited for all of the visual cutting-edge eye-candy magic... as such the technology is batsheet crazy to say the least...

His new stuff (about half of the show) was VERY good... the familiar pieces were fantastic... 3+ hours with a mere ten minute intermission spoiler alert: my regret was no Games w/o Frontiers nor Shock the Monkey

Saw him in Philly, great show! First time seeing Gabriel since a Woodstock warm-up concert at Stabler Arena in '94. Tony Levin has always been on my top 5 list of bass players. I put this video up on youtube:
