I'm out of the loop - how/why did this get scheduled for tonight? OK maybe everyone knew before the season that neither team would need to be available for the conference championship game last night but schedulers usually, at least outwardly, show non-bias for all teams before the year starts and pretend that any of them can play for all the marbles. In this case they apparently said "Screw it, December 4th - I don't see any potential conflicts".

Woodpecker: The Cal football team ran into some serious Covid issues recently, with 24 players being sidelined for the Arizona game. Covid prompted the rescheduling of the Cal-USC game which would otherwise have been played several weeks ago.
