"According to the Sun-Sentinel, McDowell’s defense attorney said "apparently somebody may have slipped him something or given him something he was unaware of, which explains some of his bizarre behavior."

Are they positive that he wasn’t offering his services as a model for the Learning Center’s sculpturing class? Our society is so quick to jump to the worst possible conclusions these days.

Of course that source failed to mention this part.

Thanks much PearlJam for the additional information....
Some of us that have kids and grandkids can have on ocassion a fear of them being unjustly accused of an incident without knowing the history and past events the kid was exposed. Greatly affects the demeanor of the individual.

He has had mental health issues since he was drafted by the Seahawks in 2019. He never played until this year. He was injured in an ATV accident which led to him not playing at first. Then he had multiple run-ins with the law related to his mental status. He supposedly got help and cleaned himself up enough for the Browns to give him a chance and there were no problems the entire season. Left on his own after the season it looks like he relapsed and I doubt he ever plays again in the NFL.

My nephews in PA love to collect "Florida man..." stories to remind me of the craziness that seems to be drawn to this state.

Did we get briefly involved in his recruitment when CJF took over? Vaguely recall this but might be confusing him for a DL from Chicago.

What is a learning center? Is it what we old codgers used to call a school?
