Are these collectives competing with one another? Does a PSU football player have to choose between Success With Honor and Lions Legacy Club or can he sign on with both?
Don’t forget Clifford’s ‘Limitless’ thing (or is that more to represent players getting g NIL deals?).

And it was all so easily avoidable. Alas.
A lot of it will, particularly structures like these involving middlemen (and I do not include agents representing single parties).
But is it a GROUNDBREAKING.

Thanks for this post, I enjoy the murkiness of some of PSU athletics but since their is money in the middle of this one, I have tried a little harder to understand our NIL efforts. It currently seems fragmented just like the dot.com world did a few decades ago. I am hoping it consolidates so PSU can, in fact, capitalize on one of the most successful, geographically extensive and prosperous alumni groups in America. Then use PSU class to show how it manifests in the athletic department. At UM, they made a deal out of Corum using his for charity while at OSU they let everyone know that the QB bought his teammates suits. There is plenty of room and time for JCF to make more of it than those bums once he finally gets the facilities where we need to be.
God it is just a heap of fun watching A & M wither and rot in the Jimbo fiasco. I am just hoping JCF can get that D-Line coach to get back home to PA.But is it a GROUNDBREAKING.

Having 5-6 different NIL programs trying to assist Penn State athletes, while complicating the process, confusing fans/donors, in essence competing with each other, makes way more sense than having 1-2 NIL groups working together collectively with purpose, goals, objectives, resources, etc.

It isn't just NIL...i get asked for donations for; Alum Assoc...Thon...Tickets...SPCA...Wounded Warrior... Victory Junction .. St.Jude...Shriners..SavetheWhales...Granddaughters School....still think Mr Richardson (Wally Richardson is still in charge of Alumni Relations?) to get a direct NLI donation of $10-$20 added to the Annual Alumni dues...wirh over 750,000 members how many do you think pay Annually? Half seems like a conservative amount to me....$10 x 375,000=$3.75 million...i guess that would be to easy!
It will be used to recruit and retain assistant athletic directors.
Laugh and joke, but teams are coming for our best players with serious cash so this is very important to our keep guys here.

Capitalism isn’t all that complicated. The story I linked, even though it’s apparently false, it’s 100% where we’re going.
Biddle, the source of the story, says he was misquoted, says he never mentioned UGa. I can’t check because it’s radio. I am assuming that @Tchains23 meant his post to be a fact check on mine.
Yes, Biddle never mentions Georgia or $1.8M. The story seems to be using him as the source from his radio interview but he didn’t say that.

Every program, from Ohio State to Akron, claims they are being "hurt" competitively by NIL (or, at least, the fans of the programs are saying that).
Obviously, that can't be the case - since it is a zero-sum situation.
So what have any of these Penn State-centerd collectives done so far in terms of raising and disbursing money (to persons other than those that run them)?
