While I believe there is enough quality teams to make it a debate- I just don't see it, however-

"Calling roll, we find that Chase Daniel (Missouri), Sam Bradford (Oklahoma), Todd Reesing (Kansas), Colt McCoy (Texas) and Graham Harrell (Texas Tech) are among the top pitch men in the nation."

Not bad.

Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Iowa State, Baylor, Missouri and Colorado- Not a whole lot of cupcakes in there.

I'm just a little sad because I think Missouri sucks and I don't think anyone is going to find out this year because of the schedule.

(along with the late night Pac10 games), or does it just seem like it since I get about a dozen FoxSportsNet channels?

and espn big ten heavy so i allways wonder about their promotion of leagues. I would like to know who from the big 12 wants to mess with UGA, UF, LSU, or AU. We could do a sec v. big 12 challenge and they could conceivably lose all 12 games.

I think that only Texas and Oklahoma would compete for an SEC title should they hypothetically switch leagues. I think that Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Tenn and LSU could all win a Big - 12 championship this year. Tenn being the only long shot.

I like how he lists all 12 teams and then states that the list doesn't include many cupcakes.

That's similar to listing off the depth chart for a team and saying they have tons of depth using only player's names as your argument.

However, I do think that the Pac-10 and the Big 12 are the only two conferences in the country that can make an argument that they are in the same league with the SEC top to bottom.

The reason I listed the teams is so everyone could see them without having to think about it and compare conferences. Here's an example using players names:

Tim Tebow
Percy Harvin
Micheal Orhe
Antoine Caldwell
Derrick Pegues
Morshawn Moreno

Get it.

By the way, the SEC is still the best conference but top to bottom the Big 12 isn't bad- that's all I was saying.

I agree. The Big 12 and the Pac-10 are the only other conferences in the country that even have an argument for possibly being the best.

I was just prodding for some support to the list of teams and why they are good programs.

While I think Missouri will be decent this year, kansas actually has to play TX and OK this year, and I don't think they'll be nearly as good. I say 7-5ish... But there's no way they're up with the SEC

Fox Sports is stupid... I'm a Big XII guy, and I know the SEC is WAY better, especially this year...

Mizzou will be OK, about like they were last year, not really able to beat an elite team... KU will be OK, but only about 7 wins... Texas might actually finish third in the South behind Tech and OU...

The only thing that will save the Big XII in any argument is how good OU, Tech and Mizzou will be... otherwise, the SEC gets the edge...
