I would be pissed if Tanner give Frank an extension with a raise to keep him from going to KState. Someone at KState must be a friend of Frank and trying to come up a ploy to help Frank.

I hope for the best for Martin. I don’t get the hostility towards him. He has done about what others have done here based on winning % in MBB. I understand we’re all disappointed, but Frank has been a pretty good ‘ambassador’ for us.

Frank's next gig will be at some place in south Florida. I'm sure he would love to the Miami job, but I don't see that happening. Plenty of colleges in the area, though. He's not going to leave here, however, unless he's fired (or a mutual agreement to leave type of thing). That's my read on him.

The program is in a much better position than it was before he got here. And went to the final four and was a bad possession away from playing in the title game. But outside of that year we are the same team every year. We are a middle of the pack sec team. We never get any highly touted recruits. We need a change. We can be a good basketball school. We don’t have to settle for mediocrity.

Do you know for certain that this is happening, or is this perhaps an educated guess on your part?
Educated guess at best. I’m not sure why they would ever want to hire him back. And Tanner has a history of throwing around extensions for no reason.

I sense very little hostility towards him. Most people just want to try something else.

Really thought that USC would have waited until the end of the school year when RT meets with all head coaches to have Frank's exit interview. But I guess with UGA and Mizzou in the hunt as well for a new coach, it's just as well.

Wishing Frank the best.

UGa not in the hunt. They hired Mike White. Which means it’s worse…Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, and Missouri open.

I take that as a good sign that SEC schools want to compete in hoops, and not to make the NIT, either.
