Too late. CJF already signed a new contract with the good guys. How long before it starts...Per ESPN, Mullen gets the boot.
Wouldn't that be something? Deion as a Gator. Do you think the FSU connection would make it a non-starter for the influential UF boosters though?I wonder if they talk to Deion?
I just can’t see it. The jury is still out on how good a coach he is. Then throw in the FSU connection. I just can’t see the Florida folks taking that kind of risk. I think they’ll want a more proven commodity.Wouldn't that be something? Deion as a Gator. Do you think the FSU connection would make it a non-starter for the influential UF boosters though?
But he hAs an out to Florida or East StroudToo late. CJF already signed a new contract with the good guys.
Seriously isn’t Dion sick? I thought he was on medical leave from his current teamWouldn't that be something? Deion as a Gator. Do you think the FSU connection would make it a non-starter for the influential UF boosters though?
He was out for three games after foot surgery but was back coaching the last two games.Seriously isn’t Dion sick? I thought he was on medical leave from his current team
Ha, ha. They fired Mullen because he couldn't win consistently from season to season. Can't imagine how Franklin could even be considered by that criteria. How long before it starts...Per ESPN, Mullen gets the boot.

Franklin should be very thankful that is not the criteria at PSU and he is getting an extension when others are fired for down seasons, especially with this season, where expectations were rather high.
Notre Dame or OSU one day is my guess. P.S and very off topic but I’m guessing your user name means “Back Mountain.” If it does that’s my favorite way to get to the place we have gone on vacation to every year since I was 5. I think at age 36 I have finally figured out the roadsWhere does Fickell end up?

Maybe. I think the usual suspects will crop up, Campbell, Fickell, BOB. Does Kiffin get a hard look? After all he is this generation's Steve Spurrier.I wonder if they talk to Deion?
No way. Can't go home again especially when you trashed the place before you left.Urbs to Gainesville I could see that one.
What about Mark Stoops?Maybe. I think the usual suspects will crop up, Campbell, Fickell, BOB. Does Kiffin get a hard look? After all he is this generation's Steve Spurrier.
Wherever Fickell wants to.Where does Fickell end up?
Probably on their back-up list. Lost a little shine with losses to Miss St and then UT at home. What about Mark Stoops?
Pat Forde is obviously pretty stupid. Did he hear UF's rationale for firing Mullen? No way Franklin makes the list even if no extension.Pat Forde has Napier, Kiffin, and Franklin as possible fits (he notes Franklin likely inks a new deal with PSU this week though):
James Franklin (6), Penn State. He’s won at a much tougher place in the SEC than Florida, and then followed that up with a successful tenure at Penn State (although this year has been a bit of a letdown). Florida also has never had a Black full-time head football coach. The drawback: Would he leave, and would Florida be his first option if he does? Franklin’s clock might be ticking at Penn State, but he’s dropped hints that a new commitment to the school may be forthcoming. All eyes are on a meeting of the Penn State compensation committee scheduled for Tuesday.
Forde-Yard Dash: How Florida Became the SEC Epicenter of Dysfunction
Mullen is just the latest example of a Gators coach losing favor with the program and fanbase in a matter of weeks.www.si.com
I guess that would explain one of the reasons that most LSU people are freaking out about the possibility of him being their coach.Probably on their back-up list. Lost a little shine with losses to Miss St and then UT at home.
The espn insider article says Franklin seems ready for a move and would probably jump at the chance to go to UF.How long before it starts...Per ESPN, Mullen gets the boot.
I just read it. Not sure what part of what he said would exclude Franklin.Pat Forde is obviously pretty stupid. Did he hear UF's rationale for firing Mullen? No way Franklin makes the list even if no extension.
Just as a point of order Franklin was 11-13 at Vanderbilt in SEC games. That isn't exactly winning in the SEC.Pat Forde has Napier, Kiffin, and Franklin as possible fits (he notes Franklin likely inks a new deal with PSU this week though):

What were you thinking?my husband is an Ohio State fan
In fairness, Vanderbilt in the SEC before Franklin took over - 1-15. And since Franklin left - 10-54. That is losing over 86% of their conference games, before and after Franklin's arrival.Just as a point of order Franklin was 11-13 at Vanderbilt in SEC games. That isn't exactly winning in the SEC.
Yeah and the narrative him pulling off big wins against the big boys is false. He beat a top 15 Georgia team once coached by Mark Richt and his perennially underachieving teams.Just as a point of order Franklin was 11-13 at Vanderbilt in SEC games. That isn't exactly winning in the SEC.
Think Kiffin wants Miami, not Florida, we shall see/I think it might be Lane Kiffin.
Wait, we are stuck with him?Too late. CJF already signed a new contract with the good guys.
