Why did we let him get away? All of the speculation was that he was calling the last two games of the season.

As I posted in another thread - It's likely Freddie Kitchens intel on our personnel and tendencies played a huge role in last night's destruction of our offense, in addition to our lead footed OL.

We should’ve responded by hiring Sparky Woods from UNC. Brought the Sparky Rock back to Columbia.

Bc he was an analyst that got a position coach offer, and we didn’t have an on field position available?

If that's why we let him get away and then we hired a couple other garbage hires, then we deserve to lose games
Freddy was here for the first 10 games too. He was a part of of the game planning for those Mizzu and UF games as well. Y’all think he was just getting paid to sit around and do nothing, then all of a sudden Beamer said “hey Freddy, you’re going to call the next 2 games! Good luck!”???

Nah, Kitchens didn't have anything to do with it. If our OL could have blocked, we would have won.

I agree, but I'm sure Kitchens was happy to provide any intel he could regarding tendencies, schemes and personnel to enamored himself with his new employer. But you are right, given any blocking Rattler would have won this game even without a run game.

Yeah. I think you're right. If you're looking for the brightside, we were still in it score-wise til the end. Maybe we need to add some gimmicks. Having three "QBs" on the field at one time in your regular offense might open up some things.

Apparently you were on to something. Sounds like that's exactly what happened. UNC knew what we were doing pre snap.

I think his look away from the camera and his chuckle at the end was his tell.
That and the fact that he couldn't be still while hemming and hawing around his answer. Dude was uncomfortable and lying his way through it.

First there is a huge difference in being here, getting ignored by an arrogant Satt, and being handed the reigns, and working with Stepp and Lembo to fix what was wrong. You can't see the forest for all the trees in your way...

BOTH can be true at the same time. Kitchens DID have something to do with it, AND the biggest reason we lost is our OL sucked. If they were just decent, we win that game big. Because the pass would have opened up the run game. But they were worse than awful. So was the blocking of the WR's and TE's.

I don't care either way....both he and satt sucked. Not sure why i'd be looking at trees. I'm glad they're both gone.

So Beamer and Satt conferring over the playsheet with Satt talking in a headset was all smoke screen?? It's all on video. Come on, man.
Sat wasn't actually talking... IF you go back and watch the Tenn game closely, you can clearly see he wasn't actually speaking. Just standing there and poorly acting like he was doing something.

I guess this means Loggains is calling the exact same plays out of the same sets as Satterfield did. I seriously doubt that is the case.

Also, Kitchens was an analyst, he wasn't integral in play calling and designing plays or sets. I have a hard time believing he could give much useful information outside of player ability.

The analysts are key in self scouting. So he would have been looking at that stuff all year long.

haha...I think no answer is a pretty clear indication.
Oh, of course he would come right out and admit it. Coaches are always perfectly honest about what they do behind closed doors, and they love to burn bridges, because those aren't important in this business.... Right? Lol. WoW!

And his answer was?
As clear as mud!
His answer was “nah” while his grin was “yes”

North Carolina pays him to coach their team. You’re damn straight. He’s going to tell you everything he knows about the team you’re getting ready to play even if he was a coach at that school previously. This is not nuclear secrets.

The bottom line, and this is high school 101, as an offensive lineman you line up the exact same way every single time. It was beat into our heads in high school. The whole reason is to not tip your play. It’s not hard stuff.

Hard to know how to take the video.

Either he did pass along beneficial info but he doesn't want to come out and say it.

OR

He didn't really have meaningful impact in that capacity but wants to create the sense that he did.
