I would have schlepped down there if we had made it but now I'm relieved I don't have to go. Fun arena for Lightning games but they got rid of Smoke's Poutinerie,which is a devastating culinary loss for the Tampa Bay region.

My UM buddy went so too bad for him, hehe.

Quinnipiac dominated the third period and tied it up in the final two minutes after pulling the goalie.

Quinnipiac had all the momentum going into that OT. They outshot the Gophers 14-2 in the period. Almost seemed like Minnesota played not to lose up 2-1. Gutsy (?) move by Quinnipiac to pull the goalie during the PP with over 3 minutes on the clock in regulation (off the TO with like 36 seconds left on the PP). Apparently they did the same last year and gave up an EN. Anyhow, would have been nice to see the B1G get one there. Hopefully a few more players join Michigan's Hughes and go pro lol.

Next season will be a meat grinder. Even Wisconsin will be tough. They hired right. We could have used a couple/ few more upperclassmen this season. Have a feeling Knies and Faber are gone. Hoping Cooley and Snuggerud stay. Next season will be tougher yet.

This stinks, but eventually, I will look forward to PSU and Gopher hockey again!

Embarrassed because we layed down in the 3rd. I understand smart hockey, but you still have to fight.

Regarding next year, I can only hope. Look forward to BigTen hockey next season. Hope you guys make it to the Frozen Four next year. IMHO you were much better than BU, and obviously played well enough to beat Michigan.

Wrong - that’s what makes college hockey great. Anyone can win. It’s an historic event for those kids and that college. Let them have their day in the sun. David over Goliath!
