Being reported that the ACC has given permission to the Seminoles that they can leave the ACC. Question… if they do leave, where do they end up? Question 2…Does Clemson leave as well?

You know contract deets better than I. Couldn’t it be taken as a collusion effort to breach a contract ? Better to get into that later, especially if a back door deal has been arranged ?

that's grossly inaccurate.

FSU filed a lawsuit against the ACC in December, and the ACC filed a lawsuit against FSU in December. FSU's lawsuit was filed in Florida, while the ACC's lawsuit was filed in North Carolina.

Both sides have filed dismissals or stay motions in the other's lawsuit. In a motion filed by the ACC on Friday, the ACC continues to maintain that because FSU signed a grant of rights (GOR) in 2016, the ACC owns their broadcast rights through 2036.

What I suspect is what caused the speculation that you're posting about is that in the ACC's motion filed on Friday, the ACC indicated that if FSU wanted to regain control of the rights before the end of the term of the GOR, FSU could attempt to repurchase them. However, they indicated that having the right to repurchase them is not a penalty, but it's a commercial possibility.

This subject is covered in the "USC & UCLA to B1G by 2024; conferences react; TV contracts thread" so I'm locking this thread.
