Funny, the SEC team defense ppg leader doesn't have a player on the All-Defensive Team!

We really don't have a standout player. Lamont built this team to function as a unit. As they say, our whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Murray Boyles is a standout player. He can just about guarantee the team that he will score in double figures and get a fair share of rebounds. Also might block a few shots where the ball goes flying into the stands.

By standout, I mean among the tops in the league. CMB certainly has that potential.

I also think our style of play offensively limits how many offensive possessions our opponents have. We typically do a good job at getting back on D to limit transition buckets as well. In those two regards, system is a bigger contributor than having players with good defensive stats. But I fully expect CMB to be on this list for the remainder of his career.

CMB's bout with Mono cost him a few accolades. Didn't really get acclimated into the starting lineup until we had played 4-5 conference games. I bet you he will be Pre-Season All-SEC of some kind though.
