RBY and Dean sure made MAJOR contributions to the program and are to be congratulated. Now that their PSU wrestling careers are over, anyone know what is next for them? Tough for RBY when it comes to potential Olympic type competitions as with limited weights he falls right in the middle of 2 weights. In WORLD competitions there are more weight classes. Thanks if you have information on either one.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Dean is going into coaching. Maybe in HV where he and his wife love it.

Reading the Max Dean and RBY statements shows that the wrestling team has incredible men involved in it, with great values and ambition, who will be successful in their post PSU life, whatever direction their life takes them.

RBY and world team. World team has i believe 10 weight classes vs Olympic team with 6 weight classes. RBY would be in between weight classes-which are almost 20 pounds apart for the Olympic weight classes.Good luck to RBY. Wonder if he is training with NLWC or elsewhere.

Seems like RBY wants to do Olympics but I believe he'll have to drop to 57kg/125 pounds. Someone can correct me if wrong. Can't imagine he'd go to 65 kg/143 though. So that's probably part of the decison. Dean said on ESPN he wasn't sure what his future held but did say he would consider it being in State College. If not freestyle, can definitely see coaching, and I get the sense he'd be darn good at it.

thanks Greg-curious what RBY typically weighs in offseason. Does he have to lose weight to make 133? Dropping down to 57 kg/133 kg is quite a big drop. Could he do that and feel ok? The World competitions have 10 weight classes so that may be realistic. Olympic weight classes are tough for wrestlers who typically wrestle right in the middle of 2 weight classes-the weight classes are almost 20 pounds apart. See what happens. If someone wants to pursue international wrestling or MMA, lots of options for development/training are in the State College/Penn State area. Keep us informed Greg.
