I just spoke with PSU Athletics to inquire why my required minimum NLC contributions for my season tickets have doubled for the 2024 season and was told that they have raised the minimum contribution for certain seating sections and my section was one of the targeted ones. Was told sections in the north end zone were those primarily affected. They then tried to smooth me over by saying but the price of my season tickets went down by a combined $24. Greedy effen bastards! Be prepared for additional price gouging as the stadium overhaul ramps up.

The annoying thing is this is being done surreptitiously- did they release a new stadium map with the updated donation levels? I don’t think so and can’t find it anywhere online.

FWIW: I have seen it.... I'll see if I can find

The biggest changes are the Lower Bowl end zone - which doubled from $100 to $200 per seat.... and a significant chunk of the upper level sideline seats as well.... like from the endzone to around the 10 yard line sections - which also doubled

I’m surprised anyone would be caught off guard by this. Stadium renovations don’t pay for themselves. Next year I think everyone will see an increase of some sort. It’s just that this year ICA identified an in demand area where they could do an increase now.

One should reasonably expect some sort of advance notice about a 100% increase.

Here is the link to new NLC pricing by section.

If you look at the contribution level changes over the last couple years - where and how much and in what direction they changed - and you assume some level of sensible analysis was done :) , (big assumption, I know) one would be quite concerned over the plan to incorporate more "premium seating" (at costs 2-3 or more X the current price points) in the new "plan".

Why is there a no donation zone in the corner of the north upper deck?
IIRC, those were set up some time ago as "new alumni area", or some such thing - with no annual seat license. I guess one has to be a recent grad to qualify - though I don't know how PSU would establish/enforce that

BTW: The "upper chunk" in NLC and NAC:
Was that set up that way last year? IDK By the looks of things could that be some spillover of student seating? IDK and had not heard as such... wondering if folks remember from last year.

I’ve never noticed those before. Good eye. No idea what they are. Maybe temp seating for something. It would be strange to ship some students over there.

So that’s why it’s designated Section FNG.

Block for single game ticks?

Maybe moving Visitors section to be more uniform? it is on the visitors sideline technically

This is last year's map. So, it looks to me like it is a bunch of the blue $100 seats becoming part of the yellow $200 seats.

Also, NLC and NAC were there last year, but not sure what they are.

NLC and NAC were areas where temp bleachers put on the concourse so maybe

Those are bl;eacher seats looks like temp seating as the bleachers are not always there at least last year they were not

I believe the NE, NF, NG sections (very low in the endzone) are sold only as single game tickets, if the seats are not being used by the opponents band (or I think the alumni band at Homecoming). There may be other single game tickets of course; obviously any potential season ticket spots that just go unsold. I think the upper South Endzone (which are chairbacks) don't typically sell out for season tickets.

I am in NE… have been for over 40 years. They are all season ticket people, not single game as far as I know

So the real question is then those that are paying more (blue section being now yellow) will they reap the benefits of what ever is being upgraded 1st??

Pay attention, boys and girls. This is just the index finger. After they finish the stadium renovation, you're getting the whole arm up to the shoulder. Better hope they grease it up good.

Including parking and other required donations, what’s your price per ticket per game?

Step! Back with a bang, I see.
Thank you L.J., went to work a few days this week with my antibacterial soap, bathroom cleaner and special a@$$ wipes to avoid contamination in the restroom. Next week i should oficially be cleared from C.diff. In the mean time, my partner is using the restroom up stairs.

Again,
I thank all of you for being concerned, never in my life do i want to go through this again. Although, I understand there is a 1 in 5 chance I'll get this again, hopefully not as severe.
Tired, going to bed now.

Revenues have to exceed growing expenses in order to break even.

PSU is fiscally unfixable. It won’t end well
