Game 2: We can win this one. Up 5-1 now

I might not be overly optimistic about this team, but I still think we can win most games (yes, that's contradictory). And we're still National Champs. We've hit the ball hard so far and Stinnett is starting instead of coming in late.

And we have still managed to produce runs. Pitching going pretty well, and we have had to overcome a bit of bad luck/questionable infield play.

Walks the bases loaded with 2 outs, 11 straight balls, none particularly close.

Talk about a mixed outing. 8 walks, only two Ks, and he still would have had a shutout with better infield play.

I really can’t defend this anymore. We lost some big pieces and injuries have hurt, but this team is a complete mess right now.

Yes, and Foxhall leaves the pitchers in too long. One thing about coach Henderson, he would pull them in a minute. This is one of our many weaknesses.

Our 5th or 6th guy out of the pen last year is now our Saturday starter. Our 3rd or 4th guy out of the pen last year is our Friday night starter. Do the math on what that means for the guys we have that are not good enough to start now. We just lost too much.
