Effen ND. NBC still kissing their a**.
It does make you wonder why NBC gets to pick before others on a weekend when they already have FSU vs ND scheduled? (I assume the Whiteout wasn’t the last game picked by the networks).

That’s just horrible. Why does nbc get to pick before Fox when they’ve already got a ND game scheduled on their network?

Because that's the wording in the TV contracts, the TV contracts that our conference negotiated and signed (in exchange for a big pile of $$$$$).

NBC has so many weeks where they get to pick ahead of FOX, and NBC can also put 8 B1G games a year on Peacock. NBC is doing what they have the right to do. NBC will gladly collect incremental revenue in Peacock subscriptions along the way.

$$$ talks - nobody cares about you, or I, or anyone else.

“Greatest Show in College Football “ now relegated to a low viewership, third tier pay-per-view fiasco. Clearly no longer the “greatest show”. I will not be extorted for a monthly payment to Peacock. Thank you PSU corrupt BOT for lying in bed with the Big Ten administration.

Just really sad…

I encourage the entire Penn State community to NOT subscribe just to watch this game. New subscriptions will lead to this being an annual event.

IIRC at least one of our games was on there last season as well, so it would seem that ship has sailed. As has the proliferation of umpteen streaming services overall :(

Pat Kraft - first cancel the White Out,

Second, no longer make any preseason promotional announcement of a White Out. Future White Outs only announced after network and kickoff times have been announced. Then if opponent and situation merits, a White Out could be declared. Time for PSU to take control of its own affairs.

The first White Out was not a preseason promotion- time to go back to our roots.

I burned my Peacock free trial last season which (as it turns out) doesn't really matter
-------
Peacock does not currently offer a free trial. However, there are some ways to access Peacock Premium for free or at a discount:
Xfinity: Xfinity Rewards members at the Diamond or Platinum tier, or Xfinity Internet customers with Gigabit or higher speed service, can get Peacock Premium for free.

NOW TV: Customers of Comcast's NOW TV streaming service receive Peacock Premium included as part of their subscription.

Mastercard: Peacock Premium may be available for free through Mastercard offers.

Instacart+: Peacock Premium is included with an Instacart+ membership.

Spectrum TV Select: Peacock will be free with Charter's Spectrum TV Select.

Student discount: Students can get Peacock Premium for $1.99 per month if they sign up for the annual plan.

Promo codes: Peacock may offer promo codes for new or returning subscribers. For example, Peacock may offer a special promo code to get four months of Peacock for $20.

Peacock Premium costs $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Peacock Premium Plus costs $13.99 per month and is ad-free.

Steve Jones and Jack Ham on the radio for me like old times when it was Fran Fisher and George Paterno on the radio before all the games were televised. I will survive and am a bit tired of the every game theme anyway. When I go I'm there to watch a football game, not all the canned noise and other BS.

Totally get that. My question was more toward how can the Big Ten be so stupid.

ND has been a thorn in their side for years. If nbc wants their games that’s fine but there should be a clause that if you’re showing a ND game on nbc that week you go to the end of the line for picking Big Ten games.

It appears the Big ten really dropped the ball on the fine details of the contract. They apparently saw the big money being offered and went stupid instead of thinking about consequences.

Does that mean if we get premium plus, there won’t be tv timeouts?

All the planning for a white out and it goes streaming, a silent victory for OSU and UM.

Big noon kick offs suck.

FYI that we've got 7 men's basketball games on Peacock this fall as well (plus opening round of the Big Ten Tourney). Looks like they'll have a few women's games too.

Newsflash, every Big Ten team is going to have one Peacock game per season. Last year, ours was Delaware so hardly anyone noticed. Ohio State's was Sparty. Oregon's was Boise. Michigan's will probably be NW.

NOT a “news flash “ - every intelligent fan should be aware of the Peacock deal. And for just one season if the fan base for all teams would exercise a little personal restraint and not be a new subscriber for one game, maybe the Peacock extortion would go away.

I get more than my money's worth from Peacock each year. I know I'm in the minority, but I look forward to our games on Peacock. They usually have a good pre and postgame show, you never need to worry about the game starting on another channel, they have really good announcers (speaking more to the basketball side, not sure who will get our game on Saturday), etc.
