Thanks for posting Harvard.
Not a lot to argue with about what was said but what's missing from the article is huge! Where is the huge paragraph on the incoming recruits and their potential impact! And, no mention of the best special teams in the country.

As I've said many times, we'll never do great things without exceeding the "experts'" expectations.

Of course, I put "experts" in quotes because, as Prestonyte noted, this surface-level analysis had not a single word about our special teams. It's worth at least a single word, right? lol. But, that's fine - the more others ignore special teams, the more impactful ours will be.

To be fair, all of the teams that have also been reviewed by CFN follow the same format. Offense, Defense, Key Players, etc

True, but still flawed.
How do you leave out special teams (they are a key unit of any team, especially ours) and incoming, highly regarded recruits to a formula for predicting next season's outcomes if accuracy is important to your analysis?
I understand the point is clicks/readers and they get to publish next year regardless of accuracy, so no big deal!

If covering all 132 teams, it would be would in all likelihood be bit too cumbersome have the extra reviews you're expecting. All schools believe they have the next great incoming class, and one publisher just doesn't have the resources to the deep dive on every school.

I'm fine with the high level overview.

I would be fine with the high level review, but think special teams can still be part of that.

As for recruits, you're right. Every team is high on their class, it fit their needs, etc. Throw in that our class is middle of the pack for our schedule (ish?), and you can see why a brief review might not think it's such a huge step forward.

Thanks for posting but now I'm a little bit depressed. Vandy has more 8 win seasons than us? Ouch.....

He did mention that we were 11 for 11 on field goals. That's pretty "special."
